Kerry’s passion for the wetland he created at the Island Block Quarry Mermere (just south of Auckland) has brought him international recognition.
Each year the International Presidents consider the best international paper presented at a local branch meeting or national conference. Kerry Reilly presented his paper at an Auckland branch meeting in March 2019. It was subsequently nominated for the Caernarfon Award. The outcome was revealed to the delegates at the IOQNZ AGM held at the QuarryNZ 2019 Conference Invercargill. Kerry was thrilled to be the recipient of such a prestigious award.
