What is the IOQ?
We promote and support the quarry industry.
The Institute of Quarrying was founded over 100 years ago by four people with a vision for the mineral products industry. They wanted the industry to come together to raise standards, share knowledge and be recognised as highly skilled professionals which are the principles that guide the Institute of Quarrying today.
Membership
Membership is open to people employed in, or supplying to, the surface mineral extractive and processing industries in any country of the world.
Education
We offer and facilitate a range of educational and professional development opportunities for our members.

The Auckland facility enables Liebherr to provide our earthmoving and mobile crane customers with parts, service, and sales; with support for mining parts and sales. The premises include a spacious workshop with internal gantry cranes, a wash bay and a large spare parts warehouse. The branch covers 975m² of office and workshop space and has a yard of 1,600m².
