As Mike Ross was recently in Christchurch, the opportunity was taken at short notice for for him to present his paper from this year’s IOQ/AQA Conference at a Canterbury meeting.
A good attendance was rewarded with the interesting history of Rock Products
The story as it unfolds is accompanied by a slide show. This at times takes all attention away from Mike as pie carts, Eimco loaders, a slack line and machines in inverted positions are shown, along with plenty of other machinery and operating conditions, never seen before by the majority of those present.
This was capped off nicely by a short film made up of old footage and recent activities.
I throughly recommend that other branches ask Mike to their local branch meetings, in order to share the Rock Products story with other members.
We found it refreshing to revist the “good old days”, as we also see ongoing progression into the future.
