Bill Abbott has accepted a position with Holcim Aggregate Industries in Denver, Colorado as the General Manager Aggregates.
He has extensive experience in the concrete and aggregate industries both here in New Zealand and Australia including an in-depth understanding of the concrete industry.
Bill has been with Holcim (New Zealand) Ltd since April 2000, starting as National Aggregates Manager then becoming the General Manager of the Aggregates Division and currently in the role of General Manager to the Concrete & Aggregates Divisions.
Bill was responsible for the successful performance and future development of the division. His role included the leadership and development of a team of 200 staff including sales, marketing, technical specialists, logistics and production facilities at a number of sites throughout the North Island.
We take this opportunity to thank him for his support of the Institute of Quarrying and wish him well in the future.
