Obituary Don Bellingham

BELLINGHAM, Donald Edward (Don). Passed away peacefully on Monday 23 September 2024 in his home in Houhora surrounded by his family. Age 87 years. Dearly loved Husband of Tommy of 66 years. Cherished Father and Father-in-law of Brian and Kim, David and Carol, Donna and John, and Vicki and Mike. Loving Grandfather of ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Will be sorely missed by us all.

In 2012, the IOQNZ featured “Don Bellingham and Five Generations of Quarrymen” in Profiles in Stone, Stories from New Zealand Quarrymen chapter 4. It’s a great read recounting the construction and quarry work undertaken by the successive Bellingham families.

Don was a well-known and respected quarryman in the Northland region who will be missed by many. The IOQNZ passes on our sincere condolences to the Bellingham family and friends.
