The Opportunity
Our Quarries division is looking for a quarry foreman to join our Central Otago Quarry team in delivering the good work Fulton Hogan is known for. We have a permanent full time position available, with a need for someone with experience at operating a range of heavy machinery from loader to excavators to crushing plant, can self-manage their time and who can slot well into a team to ensure a seamless transition.
This role is a hand on role and will be responsible for the day to day running of our mobile and/or fixed plant operations. These day to day task can include but not limited to: operating heavy machinery, organising staff, planning and executing R&M, quality sampling and troubleshooting, plus working with the quarry manager to plan extraction process, stock piling, and production demands.
While working with us you will be supported in a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team who will support you in learning our business and will ensure you enjoy coming to work each day. Like all staff at Fulton Hogan you will also be given the opportunity to upskill in other areas through the internal training the company provides.

What you’ll bring to the table
The candidate will be able to work well with others and have a mind for health and safety while you are working. You will enjoy getting stuck in to any task and will enjoy working in a variety of different areas of the business.
– Minimum Class 2 license with WT endorsement required
– Loader, excavator and truck operation experience
– Experience in the quarrying industry or similar
– Mechanically and practically minded
– Good communication skills and a positive attitude
– Commitment to health and safety
– A team player
