WorkSafe New Zealand is reviewing and updating the Health and Safety at Opencast Mines, Alluvial Mines and Quarries Good Practice Guidelines to align with health and safety legislation. This includes the:
– Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
– Health and Safety at Work (Mining Operations and Quarrying Operations) Regulations 2016
– Health and Safety at Work (Mining Operations and Quarrying Operations) Amendment Regulations 2022.
We would like to hear from anyone who uses these Guidelines, to get an understanding of what you find useful, how you use it, what needs improving, and what information is missing.
If you have colleagues who work in opencast mines, alluvial mines or quarries and may be interested in providing feedback, feel free to let them know.
