The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quarry Manager to join the team based at our Wheatsheaf Quarry in Christchurch. Leading a team of operators and contractors you will help build the foundations of the wider Canterbury Region. The operation is complex and fast-paced with plenty of scope for the successful candidate to make their mark and optimise site performance. The Wheatsheaf Quarry has recently been expanded by an additional 10 hectares and plays an important role in providing products for roading, infrastructure and suburban housing growth in the region.
The role serves as a key steppingstone for career pathways within the business for those looking to grow and develop within not only Winstone Aggregates but the wider Fletcher Building group.
About you:
You will be a hands-on, safety focused leader with a track record in developing high performing teams. You will be experienced at building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and have strong influencing skills. You’ll have an understanding and experience with quarrying processes and will be motivated by identifying opportunities for efficiency and growth. An A or B grade Quarry Manager ticket would be advantageous.
