Our Auckland based weighing solutions team are seeking a Applications Engineer to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

Job Purpose
As our Application Specialist you will be involved in the specification, testing, documentation and preparation for release for Trimble Loadrite projects and products for the aggregates industry.

You’ll act as the qualified internal voice for the end customer, working with product managers and other relevant stakeholders, to ensure that products and systems are specified, designed and implemented to meet the needs of modern aggregate manufacturers.

What you do:
As our in-house industry expert you will be the necessary conduit and ‘reality check’ between our development team and customers. On a regular basis you can expect this to include:

  • Reviewing functional specifications in order to ensure that they are appropriate to end user needs
  • Providing product/marketing clarification to Product Managers on features and functions
  • Providing requirements clarification and feedback to the Engineering team as part of the development process
  • System and product level validation and testing
  • Coordination of field trials with end customers to ensure that products and systems operate as intended and meet user and environmental needs
  • Development of partnerships within industry in order to create/maintain strategic alliances
  • Assist with training and customer events as required
  • Assist Global Support (technical support) as required.

What you bring to the team:
Alongside of being a collaborative team player, the most important elements to being successful in this role will be:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the Aggregates/Construction/Quarry industry
  • Passion and aptitude for technology and the benefits it can bring to industry
  • Enthusiasm for continuous process improvement
  • Excellent communication skills across a wide variety of stakeholders and the ability to translate technical concepts into plain language.
  • Desire to be hands on advice, support and engagement with end users
