Dr Mary Obele
speaking at the QuarryNZ 2021 Conference

The Lyn Jordan Memorial Trophy is awarded to the Institute member, or members, whose technical paper is judged the best given at an Institute Branch Meeting or the NZ Annual Conference.

This year one presenter stood out from the rest and it is fitting that Dr Mary Obele has been awarded the Lynn Jordan Memorial Trophy .

Her presentations on mental/ occupational health during the Jim Macdonald Memorial Lecture tour to each of the IOQNZ branches was very informative, contained practical advice on how to cope or help someone suffering from depression, and covered an number of different issues presented in a way the audience could understand.

Following the presentations these were lots of questions, support provided to the members and compliments regarding how the subjects were covered.

Dr Obele’s presentation at Conference “Do it for Grandma” demonstrated more simple aspects to keeping safe and healthy.
