Real Steel is an Upper Hutt based, family owned business formed in 2002. Key to our success so far is the team of 60+ talented people who dedicate themselves to achieving our vision of designing, building and supplying our customers with New Zealand’s hardest steel solutions. We have a rare opportunity for a Central North Island Sales Manager to join the team and contribute towards our future direction by selling steel solutions to our customers and potential customers, adding value to their businesses by increasing their efficiency and reducing their running costs.

Covering our Central North Island territory, this role will primarily be servicing our wear parts and transport customers. We’ve recently expanded our factory and commissioned new machinery, which is primed for the increase in sales growth which will be driven by you in these areas. Experience in industrial sales, mining, quarrying, engineering or road transport is beneficial. In order to be successful in this position you will have the ability to quickly grasp our product knowledge and be self-managing. You will be a highly professional sales person building strong relationships representing Real Steel and our company values while being comfortable in both corporate and onsite situations.

You will need to be driven to achieve results with a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. In order to increase awareness of Real Steel and our product offering this role will be focused on looking for new opportunities as well as keeping current customers satisfied and continuously providing them with value-add solutions. Although this is a home-based role, you will need to be a team player as the success of this role relies upon regular and clear communication with our customer service and production design team. You will also need to be organised and dedicated to actively planning your customer activity and seeing jobs through to completion.

Ideally you will be based in Hamilton, however applications from all areas within the sales territory will be considered.
