The name Keith Niederer is synonymous with quarrying in New Zealand.
Since we launched the book (at the 2012 Dunedin Conference ) Profiles in Stone regaling stories from NZ Quarrymen, which included a great one on some of Keith’s life, Keith has not been able to attend many local branch meetings or Conferences.
Gordon Laing and Murray Discombe made a special presentation to Keith on July 25. Despite Keith protesting “I don’t need this”, he was quote happy to pose for a photo when he realised he was being honoured for a lifetime in an industry we’re all passionate about.
We are confident that members will endorse your IOQNZ Board’s decision to make Keith Niederer an Honorary Fellow.
