Chris Gray, resigned from Winstone Aggrgeates to take on a new role in Tasmania as General Manager for a quarrying company just outside Hobart, it became clear that his tenure as IOQNZ Auckland Branch Chairman needed to be formally recognised. At the Auckland Christmas Charity Dinner held 18 Dec 2011, the
Blackwoods/Paykel Shield was handed over by Blackwoods Sales Manager, Mike Rawson for
“Outstanding Service to the Auckland Branch over the year.”Chris injected new life into our branch when he introduced the technical evenings – an evening arranged where 2-3 presenters provide updates on specialty topics of interest. They have been very successful and vital part of continuing professional development for our members.
He also recommended we adopt production of a small pocket-sized diary featuring the annual events calendar for our Auckland Branch – a simple way to remind our members when our meetings are. (They say that copying an idea is the highest form of flattery, so thanks to the IOQ North Wales Branch for creating a good job with your local diary)We sincerely thank him for his dedication to our Auckland Branch and wish Chris and his family all the best for a new life in Tassie.
