Blair Mathieson has worked for Road Metals for the past two years based out of Oamaru and is responsible for the mobile crusher and all staff associated. This plant includes an Allis 806 Jaw Crusher, a Metso HP200 Cone Crusher and two Volvo L120E loaders. When required, a mobile Barmac and wash-screen are added to the circuit to produce washed products. The crusher works all over the South Island with three staff producing various roading materials, drainage materials and sealing chip.

Blair has proved himself to be hard working, enthusiastic and very capable. Blair is currently signed on as an apprentice with ExITO and has started this process, under the tuition of Andy Loader.

The Webster Scholarship will give Blair the opportunity to undertake training outside of his normal courses. This training will still remain under ExITO.

General Manager of Road Metals, and Vice-President of the IOQNZ, George Kelcher accepts the Award on Blair’s behalf from Robert Webster.
President, Steve Ellis looks on.
