| This year the Winstone Safety Award was hotly contested by several quarry operations.
The 2006 recipient of Winstone Aggregates Safety Award was Hilderthorpe Quarry, part of Oamaru Shingle Supplies Ltd operations, from Oamaru. This is a joint-venture arrangement between Firth Industries and Fulton Hogan.
