2003 MIMICO Environmental Award
During the Conference the AQA presented the Mimico Environmental Award to Fulton-Hogan's Poplar Lane Quarry, Te Puke Arthur Fulton, Quarry Manager receives the MIMICO Environmental Award from Director Rex Davies. AQA President, Eric Souchon looks on.

2002 – Gough CAT Travel Award
Warwick Leach of HG Leach Quarries, Tirohia, Paeroa receives the Gough Cat Travel Award.
2002 – Honorary Fellow
Tom Linnell receives his Honorary Fellowship along with wife Mavis from President Russell Vickers. Tom was Secretary of the IOQNZ for some 15 years, and joined the IOQ shortly after its formation in NZ.

2002 – RD Hassed Memorial Trophy
Was presented to Dunedin Branch member Churchie Walls for his oustanding contribution to the IOQ during 2002. Churchie was on the Executive Committee and a tireless toiler behind the scenes.
