Cobus van Vuuren (Higgins Aggregates) receives the Niemac Award “for the most innovative plant operation or work method within the industry” from Graham Fergusson.
Andy was one of the youngest members to serve as IOQ President (1991-1993). In his role now assessing the ‘younger chaps’ with their hands on quarrying experience he continues to be of great service to our industry.
Murray Francis took home the Lyn Jordan Memorial Award for best paper. Murray presented ’50 years of Quarrying’ at five IOQ Branch meetings and had everyone enthralled with the Road Metals story. Well done

Max Whiley passed away Sat June 9, 2007. Max was the founder, 42 years ago, of Titan Plant Services, which is the New Zealand agent for Volvo Trucks and Construction Machinery.
